American Choral Directors Association
ACDA is the largest choral organisation in America, rconsisting of choral directors who represent more than one million singers across the United States. More of the NZCF Asssociation of Choral Directors are entitled a free year’s membership in 2018.
Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to over 600,000 candidates in over 90 countries every year. ABRSM’s mission is to inspire achievement in music. They were a sponsor of The Big Sing in 2018.
Australian National Choral Association
ANCA is our sister organisation across the Tasman, with whom the NZCF has an association. Check out their Facebook page.
Australian Performing Rights Association
APRA/AMCOS provides information about, and licences for, the performance of copyright music and making recordings. NZCF member choirs receive an APRA licence as part of their annual membership fee.
The Arts Foundation
The Arts Foundation provides support for New Zealand artists to create more work.
Chamber Music New Zealand
CMNZ is this country’s largest presenter of top quality chamber music concerts throughout New Zealand.
Choirs Aotearoa New Zealand
CANZ runs Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir, the New Zealand Youth Choir, the New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir and the Aotearoa New Zealand Academy Choir - four of the country’s national choirs.
Creative New Zealand
Creative New Zealand is the national agency for the development of the arts in New Zealand. They invest resources in New Zealand arts for the long-term benefit of New Zealanders. Their statutory purpose is to encourage, promote and support the arts in New Zealand for the benefit of all New Zealanders.
International Federation for Choral Music
The NZCF is affiliated to the IFCM, which was founded in 1982 for the purpose of facilitating communication and exchange between choral musicians throughout the world.
MENZA
MENZA (Music Education New Zealand Aotearoa) is the national professional body that represents the interest of education sectors in this country. MENZA works to bring professional sharing and development, live music-making opportunities to teachers, and to represent music educators on curriculum and professional development decision-making organisations.
Musica International
Created on February 6th, 1998, Musica International is devoted to developing and propagating the use of the Musica database and to transforming it progressively into a virtual multimedia library.
New Zealand Association of Teachers of Singing
NEWZATS encourages the highest standards of the vocal art, and ethical principles in the teaching of singing. It promotes vocal education and research at all levels.
New Zealand Singing School
A residential summer Singing School with national and international tutors providing tuition for students at all levels to improve performance ability in Opera, Oratorio, Lieder, Musical Theatre, Art and Popular Song, Jazz and Contemporary, and Stage Craft.
New Zealand Symphony Orchestra
The NZSO is the country’s leading professional orchestra, with an establishment of 90 players performing over 100 concerts annually.

Royal School of Church Music (NZ)
The RSCMNZ is part of a world-wide network of more than 8,500 churches, schools, choirs, clergy, music leaders, organists, choristers, instrumentalists and individuals.
SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music
SOUNZ is committed to providing, fostering and promoting the music of New Zealand composers. Their website has information about thousands of choral works, most available for sale online and many with score and audio samples. They also support the SOUNZ/NZCF Choral Composition Award held in conjunction with The Big Sing each year.
