Insurance
NZCF has a comprehensive, tailored insurance package for member choirs provided by Gallagher (formerly Crombie Lockwood) (NZ) Ltd. (underwritten by ‘OMPL’ Offshore Market Placements Limited, Certain Underwriters at Lloyds) and has a claim rating of A+ by Standard and Poor’s, reviewed annually.
The package consists of two parts: (a) liability and (b) assets insurance.
(a) Liability Insurance
Cover includes public liability, employers’ liability and statutory liability
(b) Assets Insurance
Cover includes replacement for all choir assets as a result of accidental loss or damage, unforeseen or unexpected, to a maximum for any one choir of $50,000
The premium charge per choir for 2023 (1 January to 31 December 2023) is $224 including GST. Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd can make provision, with an adjustment in premium, for any choir requiring assets cover over $50,000. Choirs that join the scheme for the first time after 1 July 2023 will be charged $124.
Other options:
- Flexibility for choirs with existing insurance to be phased into the scheme. A choir with existing insurance arrangements could cancel its current policy, claim a pro rata rebate and still find itself still better off financially
- Opportunity for choirs with special requirements to be addressed
- Offer by Crombie Lockwood & Race to facilitate on behalf of a choir in the event of any claims needing to be lodged
- Offer by Crombie Lockwood & Race to provide professional advice and support and to act as the point of contact for any enquiries or concerns.
