Almost 3000 children from 65 primary and intermediate choirs have registered to participate in either The Kids Sing Massed Choir on Monday 7 September, or to perform as individual choirs on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 September

The Kids Sing Massed Choir Gala Concert - Monday 7 September at 6:30pm
The Kids Sing Massed choir features singers from 19 schools who have prepared songs from the NZCF Let’s Get Singing video series. They will join massed choir director Megan Flint on Monday to rehearse for the gala concert during the day at Auckland Town Hall. The Monday gala concert showcases the massed choir, along with guest performances from The NZ Children’s Choral Academy, 8-bit Vocal Ensemble and The Maliatama Niue Trust.

The Kids Sing Gala Concerts on Tuesday 8 September and Wednesday 9 September at 6:30pm will showcase 46 individual school choir performances.
The concerts will conclude with the presentation of awards and a massed performance of the 2026 test piece, Andrew Withington’s beautiful arrangement of Hine e Hine by Princess Te Rangi Pai, adapted especially for The Kids Sing by Rachel Alexander-Sutherland. During the daytime sessions, each choir will perform a 10-minute recital and receive feedback from TKS adjudicator David Squire. Audience is welcome to attend the daytime sessions ($10 door entry)
