Getting to The Regent Theatre
Public transport:
- The Main Street Bus Terminal is the next street over from the Theatre
Drop‑off and taxis:
- There is no drop-off zone
Accessible parking:
- One accessible car park on Broadway Avenue in front of the Theatre (first come, first served)
Entering the Venue
- The main entrance is wheelchair accessible and step‑free
Lifts:
- There is one lift which can be used to access the Mezzanine and Regency Room
Inside the Venue
Mobility access:
- Wheelchair, companion, and early seating available
- In the Foyer (ground level) there are three steps to negotiate to the Auditorium level. Access can be found outside to the left of the theatre in the Regent Arcade where a ramp is available
- One manual wheelchair is available, please pre‑book by calling 06 350 2100
Accessible bathrooms:
- The ground floor has one unisex accessible bathroom, and one gendered accessible bathroom in each of the men’s and women’s toilets. The mezzanine level has one gendered accessible bathroom in each of the men’s and women’s toilets.
Accessible seating + tickets
For the Gala Concert/s:
- A certain number of accessible seats are reserved for access patrons
- Please contact Ticketek using the details listed here
- When you book, please request accessible seating and discuss with the ticketing agent to make sure the assigned seat/s will meet your access needs
For the day-time performance sessions:
- Seats are not bookable in advance, but are available. If you require accessible seating, please arrive early and notify door staff/ushers
Performers and Backstage Access
- The stage is not accessible from the Auditorium level. Access must be gained through the backstage doors found at the rear of the theatre on King Street.
- One unisex accessible bathroom is available backstage

- Service dogs are welcome
- Palmy Companion Card accepted
