Wellington Community Choir is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special concert on the 20th of September. This concert celebrates our friendship and shared love of singing. It's a love letter to human connection, brought to life through a vibrant selection of songs that span emotion, culture, and tradition.
Featuring works by local composers and arrangers, the programme is rooted in community and creativity, showcasing the remarkable talent thriving in our backyard. At its heart are two brand-new commissioned works, composed by the Choir’s Artistic Director, Lala Simpson and Accompanist Andrea Robinson. These original pieces beautifully express what choir and singing mean to our community—connection, resilience, and the soaring joy of unified voices.
