Mid Canterbury Choir: Tribute to Easter and Anzac

A concert of variety music celebrating Easter and remembering Anzac Day.
The choir will sing a range of songs from Halleulujah! Chorus (Messiah) and God So Loved the World, through to In Flander’s Field, E Pari Ra and We’ll Meet Again.

We welcome Sarah-Jane Rennie, who has performed with the choir before as soprano soloist in Messiah 2021. She will also sing two Anzac songs, including A Nightingale Sang In Barclay Square. 

We are also thrilled to have Stephen Diedricks on the refurbished digital organ in Baring Square Church.
Starting the Anzac Tribute will be brothers Hamish and Liam Sloper on bagpipes. This tribute section will also feature solos from two choir members, Elizabeth Small and David Cullimore.

Leading the choir is Kathy McKimmie, who has put together an interesting and varied programme. Deb Sloper will accompany the choir and soloists. So do join us for an enjoyable afternoon of variety music.
