Mid Canterbury Choir: Songs of the Isles

A concert of music from the Isles – Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England.
You may know The Irish Blessing, Donald Where’s your Troosers, The Happy Wanderer, Danny Boy and many more. 

We welcome Harrison Doak playing bagpipes before he heads away to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland a few days after our concert. He will play Mull of Kintyre and two of his competition pieces. We are also thrilled to have Jo Hedges from Timaru playing the violin – both with the choir and on her own.

Leading the choir is Kathy McKimmie who has put together an interesting and varied programme. Deb Sloper will accompany the choir.
