Kick off the year with an afternoon of choral magic! Colossal Chorale brings together the most iconic and uplifting music ever written, with a few fresh surprises along the way.

Highlights include Parry’s majestic I Was Glad, Mozart’s serene Ave Verum Corpus, and the radiant Laudate Dominum, featuring one of our talented Orpheus Scholars. Our Scholars also shine in Haydn’s joyful The Heavens Are Telling, while dramatic moments from Mozart’s Requiem – the fiery Dies Irae, stirring Confutatis, and poignant Lacrimosa — add depth and intensity to the programme.

We’re proud to include New Zealand’s own A Te Tarakihi, blending Māori haka with Western harmony, alongside Dave Dobbyn’s much-loved anthem Welcome Home, reimagined for choir.

At just one hour, this free concert is perfect for both first-time listeners and seasoned choral fans. Set in the beautiful St Peter’s on Willis, it’s an afternoon not to be missed!
