‘It’s Showtime – Songs of Stage and Screen’ is promising nearly ninety minutes packed with favourite songs from some of the most popular musicals around. Narrator Ken Benn brings the audience a well-crafted story that seamlessly links the musical numbers and creates a continuous and natural flow, a tale painted bright and warm by the nimble fingers of Joanna Harrington on piano, the swinging beats of Ralph Sims on drums as well as the a cappella sound audiences know and love. This concert is all about celebrating the music that has brought joy to all, dance, drama, and storytelling, music that has shown us the seediest side of humanity, the ache of longing, the indomitable feeling of hope, and the ecstasy of being in love.
