Pope Francis, a universally admired and beloved Holy Father, passed on this day exactly a year ago. This recital, in the gracious acoustic of St Michael’s Catholic Church, Remuera, by kind permission of Fr. Tony Dunn, features some of the wonderful repertoire that is suitable for the commemoration of the life and work of Pope Francis.

The choir will be joined by soprano Elizabeth Mandeno, organist Philip Smith, and a small orchestra. The featured work is the wonderful Requiem – John Rutter, with supporting works from the pens of Poulenc, Howells, Harris, Artley and Duruflé
