Calling choirs and presenters to Sing Aotearoa!

We’re calling for choirs to perform in lunchtime and evening concerts, and choral practitioners who would like to present a workshop at Sing Aotearoa in Rotorua this October.
Performance opportunities for choirs at Sing Aotearoa
As well as combined singing sessions and performances at Sing Aotearoa, your choir has the added opportunity to give a lunchtime recital or a performance at one of our two evening concerts in the Sir Howard Morrison Centre.
- Lunchtime recitals
These will take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th, in a range of indoor locations in central Rotorua. Weather permitting, some outdoor locations in downtown Rotorua may also be used.
We will endeavour to include all choirs that wish to take part, but if recital slots are oversubscribed, NZCF Member Choirs will take priority.
- Evening concerts·
4-6 choirs will be selected to perform on Saturday or Sunday evening in the Sir Owen Glen Theatre at the Sir Howard Morrison Centre. Those selected will receive a contribution towards their performance costs. Please note this does not include travel or accommodation.
The performing choir package (for both lunchtime and evening choirs) includes:
- free registration for your conductor (worth up to $400)
- significantly-reduced registration fees for choir members wishing to attend the full Sing Aotearoa weekend
- the opportunity to sell your choir’s CD and other merchandise at the festival
- a memorable weekend of singing for your choir!

Call for presenters and workshop topics
NZCF invites expressions of interest from choral practitioners who would like to present a one-hour workshop at Sing Aotearoa. We particularly welcome interactive workshops and topics of interest to singers from musically diverse backgrounds.
The Sing Aotearoa presenter package includes:
- free registration to the full Sing Aotearoa (worth up to $400)
- return travel costs to Rotorua
- a presenter fee.
