Sa 3x2 Celebration Concert Concert

Monday 26 October, 12.00pm -12.45pm
Enjoy performances from the delegates at Sing Aotearoa, singing as a massed choir and in smaller groups, led by David Squire, Michael Barrett and Kate Bell.

Among the wide range of pieces performed, you’ll hear the premiere of a specially-commissioned work, Tātai Whetū, Tātai Tangata, by composer Takerei Komene and poet Bianca Beard. Written for SATB choir and guitar, the piece draws on ancestral navigation stories and the stars Tautoru and Atutahi as metaphors for connection, leadership, and collective purpose. The work explores the bonds that unite singers while celebrating the people who guide and inspire us.
