SingFest

NZCF presents Singfest East Coast, a Saturday full of choral performances by community choirs throughout the East Coast region. 

Each choir will showcase pieces of their own repertoire and learn a massed item to sing together, conducted by Guest Conductor, Chris Atkinson.

Guest Conductor: Chris Atkinson

Chris has been immersed in choral music since childhood and went on to study voice and cello at the University of Huddersfield. Based in Hawke’s Bay, he has spent over two decades as a music educator and currently teaches at Napier Girls’ High School, where he leads the school’s choirs Ad Lucem and Ngā Ihi o te Rā.

A passionate advocate for musical theatre, Chris has served as musical director for numerous productions with the Napier Operatic Society. He also sings with the local vocal ensemble Octavius and represents the East Coast as the NZCF Regional Coordinator.

Cost 

The cost of participation will be $5 per singer.
