SingFest

NZCF presents SingFest Christchurch.

SingFest Christchurch is a vibrant annual celebration of community singing, bringing together choirs from across the region for a day filled with music, connection, and joy.

Singfest this year will be taking a slightly different format:

• From approx. 10:30am-2:30pm, there will be the opportunity for groups to perform in the Christchurch Art Gallery Foyer and in the South Quad at The Arts Centre (the South Quad space being weather dependent!)

Groups wanting to give a ‘pop up’ performance can perform for up to 20 minutes at a time, in one or both locations.

• From 2:30pm-3:30pm, we will be running a combined workshop in The Philip Carter Family Auditorium at the Art Gallery, directed by Helen Charlton.

We’re looking forward to the opportunity to gather together with you all to learn a short piece and share some fun exercises, as well as the chance to spotlight some of the groups from earlier in the day. Singers may attend as individuals, or with their group.

There will be a keyboard available to use in the Art Gallery Foyer, however groups will need to bring their own gear for performances in the South Quad (note there is no power access at this site.)

Please complete this google form by Sunday 16th August, to indicate your choir or group’s interest in taking part. We will then be in contact directly with any questions or updates.
