Sing music from Tinā with David Squire
New Zealand’s latest hit movie Tinā has captivated audiences throughout the country. Miki Magasiva’s debut feature film centres around the formation of a school choir that goes on to perform at The Big Sing Finale, and has a stunning choral soundtrack. You’ll have an opportunity to sing some of the songs from the film, including Indodana, Seven Bridges Road, Welcome Home, Nearer My God to Thee and It is Well with My Soul – led by the same conductor who directed the off-screen choir in the movie.

Workshop presenter:

David Squire is music director of award-winning ensembles including the NZ Youth Choir, Auckland Youth Choir, Voicemale (Westlake Boys High School) and Euphony (Kristin School). He is in demand around the world as a choral director, adjudicator and educator, including the annual International Schools Choral Music Society festival in China. He was the off-camera choral director for the ‘Assisi Singers’ in the movie Tinā.
