Preparing To Sing:
Warming up for an efficient rehearsal.
Discover practical vocal and physical warm-up techniques that prepare you to rehearse with greater ease, focus, and confidence. This session explores how effective warm-ups support healthy vocal production, improve ensemble sound, and help make the most of valuable rehearsal time.
The workshop will be followed by a regional hui - an opportunity to discuss possible NZCF activities in the future. Stay for a discussion over refreshments.

Robert Tucker
Baritone Robert Tucker completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Otago before moving to Perth, where he was an Emerging Performer at the Australian Opera Studio.
After living and working in the UK for five years he returned to New Zealand, where he performs regularly in opera, in the concert hall, as a singing teacher and as a choral conductor. Robert has worked extensively with New Zealand Opera, including performing the role of King George in Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ Eight Songs for a Mad King, which was received with great critical success at the New Zealand International Arts Festival and the Auckland Arts Festival. In December 2026, Robert will conduct Blenheim Choral in his final performance as music director before relocating to the Wellington region in 2027.
