Karen Grylls

Director of Voices NZ Chamber Choir and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Auckland.

Karen is Artistic Director of the Choirs Aotearoa New Zealand (CANZ) Trust and has been recognised nationally and internationally through her choral conductor training, professional choral performance and long-standing relationships with Te Ao Māori and Pasifika musicians.

A member of the INTERKULTUR World Choir Council, she was in 2023 made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Choral Music.
