Distinguished conductor from the vibrant Fatausi village on the island of Savai’i.

Igelese, who holds the Samoan chief’s title of  ‘Tuilagi’, serves as Associate Professor Pacific at Massey University’s College of Creative Arts in Wellington, New Zealand. He was choirmaster on the iconic films “Moana” and the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy and wrote the groundbreaking musical “Malaga”.

Past Chair of the Fiji Arts Council, Igelese has been recognised with the Senior Pacific Artist Award.
