Jenny Butlin was president of the Bay of Plenty branch of the NZCF during the 1990s, representing the region at NZCF Annual General Meetings and working closely with Ann-Elise Miles and our current Chair of NZCF Waikato-BOP, Elizabeth Pilaar.
Jenny sang with the Cantabile Singers (now Tauranga Civic Choir) in the late 1970s when Beatrice Webster was conductor. She subsequently sang with the Edgecumbe Choir under Valerie Milne and the Rotorua District Choir with Pete Kay. She also was a member of Con Spirito which Bill Power founded when he retired to Rotorua.
Jenny was passionate about her music and her love of singing was the driving force that motivated her to become involved in the NZCF.
Jenny passed away peacefully on 14 March 2020, aged 75, having spent the last couple of years in Te Puke Country Lodge.
