We are a not for profit, non affiliated community chamber choir. Our purpose is to sing for joy and our vision is to perform live song in rest homes, hospitals and other charitable institutions. Our repertoire is currently Medieval and Renaissance music, 20th century, folk, gospel and world - and we are always in a process of expanding what we sing. There is a culture of learning and encouragement, and we strive for beauty and warmth of sound, good intonation and strong ensemble - aided by a strong community culture.
We are seeking new members in all sections. The prerequisites are: the ability to sing in tune; some ability to read music; and a functioning rhythm and pitch memory - so there’s a friendly low key audition. Commitment, team spirit, and having enough time to come to weekly practice is essential, as regular attendance is required. Choral experience is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch! We look forward to hearing from you.
