Handel Consort & Quire was established in 2003 primarily to perform the virtually unknown works of the great composer G. F. Handel besides his "Messiah". We've performed many of his oratorios and operas with professional orchestra and soloists since then, as well as works by other composers such as Purcell, Haydn, Bach and others. Additionally, the quire also performs a cappella or with organ/piano and often sings complex music in 6 or more parts. The quire has performed on TV's Breakfast and Praise Be! On Radio NZ Concert, at Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Museum, Motat Christmas Lights, Auckland Seafood Festival and other such events and venues. We aim to be warm, welcoming and friendly to all members.
