NZCF in Barcelona

A number of New Zealanders are heading off in a few weeks time to Barcelona for the IFCM’s World Symposium in Choral Music. NZCF will have a strong presence there, with a team comprising Board members John Rosser and Juliet Dreaver, Operations Manager Cathryn Wyllie, Chief Executive Grant Hutchinson and WSCM2020 General Manager Briony Ellis working at the NZCF trade booth. They will also take part in a presentation to the delegates during the Final Ceremony about our own World Symposium on Choral Music, to be held in 2020 in Auckland.

In addition, a number of Kiwis will be giving lectures or workshops at the Symposium:

  • Choral theatre or how to win an audience and keep it! (John Rosser)
  • Choral sound concept: vision, visualization and vowels (Elise Bradley)
  • Colours in the choral aesthetic: the soloist and the ensemble (Karen Grylls and Morag Atchison)
  • Let’s talk digital: what the new media can do for your choir (Grant Hutchinson)

NZCF wishes them all the best for a successful conference!
