We’re delighted to announce that NZCF’s former Chair John Rosser has recently been elected to the Board of the International Federation for Choral Music. John will be one of a board of 16 comprising the President, Emily Kuo Vong, five representatives from the founding member organisations, and ten elected members (out of a field of 20 candidates in 2020). A full list of IFCM Board members is shown below.
NZCF Chair Juliet Dreaver says: “John’s election to the Board of IFCM is testament to his history with NZCF, his impressive achievements leading our WSCM adventure, and the respect in which he is held in the international choral world. We’re sure John will be a vocal, thoughtful and diligent IFCM board member and staunch advocate for the Asia Pacific region”.
John himself says: “I’m thrilled and honoured to have been elected to the board of IFCM. I have no doubt that this is recognition for the work of my Symposium team over the last four years and of the esteem in which NZCF is held around the world. I’m very much looking forward to representing our Asia-Pacific region, as well as working with my colleagues on the suite of international festivals run by IFCM.”
