Your regional committee is looking forward to hosting you and your singers for an inspirational weekend of song.
We have arranged for a variety of spaces to be available; Riverside Market is again supporting our event, as are the Christchurch Art Gallery, The Arts Centre, the ANZ Centre, and The Crossing. We would love to see a capella trios or quartets performing on the Christchurch Tram. The Hack Circle, Hagley Park Band Rotunda, and Tūranga Plaza are open-air spaces without access to power, while under the arch at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre, Cathedral Square, and in front of the Bridge of Remembrance are open-air spaces with access to power.
All the available spaces and their details are listed on the Google form.
We encourage you and your singers to head into the city and check out the spaces listed, to see the potential for your group. When you have worked out the days / times / spaces that would suit, please complete the Google form by Friday 25th August, so that we have a few details about your group, and can make sure we find a place for you to share your gifts with the city. We encourage a couple of 20-30 minute slots, if possible.
An exciting new addition to the SingFest programme is a Group Sing along at Fat Eddie’s at 4:30pm on Sunday 24th September. It will be a fun opportunity to bring along family or friends who haven’t sung in a while, or who just enjoy raising their voices with fellow singers.
